Thank you to all the members of our community who supported our 2025 Raise Your Hand gala on May 19. With your support, we exceeded our goals, raising $275,000 for Breakthrough’s college access and teacher training work.
Special thanks to our speakers, Dr. Michael V. Drake, President of the University of California; Dr. Racheal Adriko, Head of School at SF Day; and Anna Valadao Defaria, Breakthrough Class of 2020, for sharing their stories with us. Thanks as well to our event committee – Lateefah Baxter, Nicole Krassner, Courtney Norris, Elana O’Reilly, and Linden Rees – and the 13 hard-working Breakthrough students who served on our Spirit Crew. Thanks also to Dolby Laboratories, our generous presenting sponsor.
Watch the video we screened that night, view event photos, or make a paddle raise contribution!
