Provide In-Kind Support

1. Organize a Supply Drive

Help collect supplies at your company or school. Items our students and teachers use on a regular basis include art supplies (construction paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils, paint, glue sticks, and scissors) school supplies (dry erase markers, post-it notes, highlighters, looseleaf paper, pens, pencils, staples, tape, paper clips, binder clips, and rulers) and laptops (Macs are ideal) for our students to use in completing assignments at home. Support our program while also engaging your co-workers or classmates! To learn more, please contact Rebecca Asch, Development Officer.

2. Host Students for Career Day

Help expand our students’ thinking about what the future might hold by hosting a half dozen 5-8th graders at your workplace on a Friday afternoon in late July. The typical visit involves lunch, a tour, a career panel, and an interactive activity (we help with the planning) to help students get a taste of the work involved. Fields include medicine, tech, law, finance, biotech, design, and more. To learn more, please contact Rebecca Asch, Development Officer.

3. Provide Summer Housing

Provide a home for one of the outstanding college students taking part in our competitive summer teacher residency. Teaching Fellows can share a home with your family, or look after your home if you’re away. Our residency runs from mid June – early August each summer. To learn more, please contact Andy Shin, Executive Director.
